Why give?

  • Free education for all is a cornerstone of a just and thriving society. It empowers individuals to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. By providing equal access to knowledge and skills, we unlock human potential, fuel innovation, and create a more informed and engaged citizenry. Ultimately, investing in free education is an investment in a brighter future for everyone.

  • Literature is a powerful tool for self-improvement. It can broaden your horizons by exposing you to new ideas, perspectives, and cultures. It can help you develop empathy by allowing you to step into the shoes of others. It can also provide comfort and escape during difficult times. Reading can improve your critical thinking skills, expand your vocabulary, and make you a more well-rounded person.

  • A book discussion group can be a wonderful way to forge lasting friendships. Sharing your thoughts and interpretations of a book creates a unique bond with others. The discussions can lead to deeper conversations about life, values, and experiences, fostering a sense of connection and understanding. Over time, these shared literary journeys can evolve into strong, meaningful friendships that enrich your life for years to come.

  • It is quite simple. Courses will be posted to the website along with the dates, virtual meeting times, etc. If there is a course that you are interested in taking, send an email through the Contact Us link. Once the class is full, the instructor will email all participants with course information (Zoom link, syllabus, reading list, etc.). If you are financially unable to purchase the reading materials, they will be provided to you. Once the course starts, you log in through the Zoom link and begin your journey into the text with your fellow participants!
